Privacy policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Quill (“the App”), developed and operated by Eugene Vlassov (“the Developer”), collects, uses, stores, and discloses personal information. By using the App, you consent to this Privacy Policy.

1.1. Account Information
When you create an account, we collect information such as your email address, sign-in credentials (via Firebase Authentication), and your authentication provider (Email, Apple, or Google).

1.2. Usage and Analytics Data
We collect usage information and analytics data through Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with Quill and improve functionality.

1.3. Generated Content
When you generate stories, images, or audio narrations using the App’s AI tools (OpenAI, Google TTS, and Replicate Imagen-3-fast), the content is temporarily processed by these third-party APIs and stored securely in Firebase for user access.

1.4. Device and Technical Information
We may collect device identifiers, app version, operating system, and crash data through Firebase for debugging and performance optimization.

We use collected information to:

• Provide and maintain the App’s core functionality
• Authenticate and manage user accounts
• Generate AI-based stories, images, and audio content
• Improve app performance and user experience
• Respond to technical issues and user requests
• Comply with applicable laws and regulations

All user data, including generated stories, images, and audio files, is stored securely in Firebase services managed by Google. The Developer uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect data. However, no system is completely secure, and the Developer cannot guarantee absolute protection against unauthorized access.

Users can:

• Delete their accounts at any time within the App.
• Delete their own stories, images, and audio files from the App.
  Once deleted, data is permanently removed from Firebase storage.

Quill is intended for users aged 4 and above. The Developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without consent, please contact Apple through parental control tools to manage access.

Quill integrates with:

• Firebase (Google LLC) – authentication, analytics, and storage
• OpenAI – text generation (story content)
• Google TTS – audio narration
• Replicate (Imagen-3-fast) – image generation

These services process data under their respective privacy policies. The Developer does not control how these providers manage information once processed through their systems.

Quill subscriptions are handled through Apple’s in-app purchase system. Apple may collect limited user and payment information per its own Privacy Policy. The Developer does not store or process payment data.

Data may be transferred and processed in countries outside your jurisdiction, including the United States. By using Quill, you consent to these transfers.

The Developer may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of Quill after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

For privacy concerns, users may reach the Developer through Apple’s App Store communication channels.
